Biography

Walid Aransa is working now as Freelance AI Consultant. Previously, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at LIUM, University of Maine, France. He was awarded a PhD in Computer Science from University of Maine, France, in 2015. He is also a member of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL). Before that, he worked in IBM as Advisory Software Engineer until Nov 2011.

Walid's main research interests are:
o Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Agentic AI Workflows.
o Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Semantic Search Pipelines.
o LLM Inference Optimization, Model Quantization, and Personal GPU Infrastructure.
o Multilingual NLP, Hate Speech, and Abusive Content Classification.
o Neural Machine Translation (NMT) and Multimodal Translation.
o Reinforcement Learning (RL), Alignment (RLHF/DPO), and Neural Networks.
o Sentence/Word Continuous Vector Representations (Embeddings).
